Step1:-Disconnect the printer from the computer and re-connect the USB cable of the printer. Make sure that the printer directly connected to the wall outlet not via surge protector and it is directly connected to the computer , not via USB hub.
Step 2:- If the printer icon not listed in the printer’s folder,
Please try these steps,
Go to the device manager window by typing “device manager” in the search field
Do you see the universal serial bus controller, good
Click on the + sign right to it, look for the USB printing support , if it does not appears ,so there is some problem in the connectivity .please try step 1.
If you see USB printing support in the list , please right click on this and select uninstall
(If you are not unable to un-install or some error comes that it cont be done due to descendent error , it means the spooler is not started , go to the spooler settings and start)
After un-installation go to the action menu at the top of device manager and click, scan for hardware changes option
This will take 2 to 5 seconds and the USB printing support will be back in the list of device manager.
Now go to the printers folder by typing the “printers” in the search field and hit enter key
Right click on empty place and select refresh , this will show you the exact printer’s icon.
Check whether it has a check mark on it, and it shows zero ready status.
